Governors Jurors Academy Staff |
Resources
from the Online Academy are now integrated with the eLearning Design Lab.
They are available through the eLearning Design web site (elearndesign.org). The Academy Team comprises three groups of people: a national board of governors, a national board of content experts called jurors, and the academy staff. The Board of Governors provides overall direction to the Academy, recommending policies, providing direction on priorities, representing the field in general as a source of input and purpose, and advising on national implementation and testing matters. Jurors have played a number of roles since the Academy's inception, including specifying standards for selecting the content, recommending "best practices" that are grounded in the research literature, and reviewing the integrity of the process of translating research from the literature into an online instructional format that will affect practice. Academy staff, based at The University of Kansas, do most of the work in actually creating the e-learning modules, and oversees the smooth operation of the Academy. Three writing teams--one in each key content area--produce the actual content of the e-learning modules , which is then transformed into online courses by the Technical Applications Group. |
