Resources from the Online Academy are now integrated with the eLearning Design Lab. They are available through the eLearning Design web site (elearndesign.org).

Instructional Delivery Options:
The name of the Academy , i.e. the Online Academy, reflects its commitment to the development and delivery of instruction online. All modules are designed to be offered online, however they are designed with sufficient flexibility that they can be delivered through other options. The three delivery options include the following:

Online:
All modules are designed to be offered online. It is only because the design of instruction for delivery online results in the structuring of content and experiences in a form that is adaptable to traditional forms of instruction that other delivery options are also identified.

Use of module elements from online version in traditional courses:
Instructors wishing to use elements of the online modules in traditional courses may do so. Any feature of an online module can be projected onto a screen. For example, if an instructor wishes to show a module lesson presentation in a traditional class they may do so. However, the modules have not been designed as mediated programs intended for this use. Their application in this form is fortuitous in that the online version is mediated. Instructors may find that they will need to make some adaptations in using the online modules in this form.

Hard copy version:
All elements of a module can be printed. This means that they become resources available for use by instructors in traditional courses. The print version should be considered by instructors as a resource that can be used in part or total. The modules can also be modified. Some instructors may wish to use them as references when developing their own lectures and instructional activities.

Content Maps:
A content map has been developed for each content area: positive behavior support, reading, and technology in education. The maps give an overview of the content being considered in the development of modules. The maps have been drafted by Academy writing teams and have been reviewed by the Board of Jurors. The content maps should be viewed as work in progress because they may change as modules are developed.
